Question: What is shady?
Some would say (and a few HAVE said) that what I do on this blog is shady. Writing about people and giving my point of view on various issues as it pertains to my interactions with those people. I beg to differ as I would very easily say the same things to their faces, and I think the people in question know it.
Is shady talking a bunch of shit about people when they aren’t around and then smiling in their faces? I think that qualifies a little more than what I do here. Do I do that on occassion? Yeah, I think we all do to a certain extent, especially if we around those who kind of spur on that kind of thing. As a rule I generally try to “keep my nose clean” though. I think shit like that is bad karma, and most times when I am in a situation like that I try to catch myself and usually feel disgusted.
I don’t know man. When I do shady shit it bothers me. Like my conscience eats at me. I could never be a hardcore criminal, it wouldn’t sit well on my soul, hell I feel bad when I download music and porn and what not.
Something else that I do that people may consider shady or whatever. Like I’m not a big speaker in public. I might shoot the deuces, or nod my head, but I don’t stop and make idle chit chat. I forget peoples names also. I also have a rather icey look on my face most times. I’m not super approachable and I think alot of times people think I’m shady because of that. I guess I am, I can’t front, but that’s just how I am.
So yeah, what is shady? Who is shady? Are you shady? Are you comfortable with it?

I’m not shady in general, however as I get older, I find myself becoming slightly more judgmental (just slightly), which makes me more inclined to say shit I wouldn’t have a few years ago. But I carry those words over into my interactions with people, so I don’t feel it’s shady… I feel like I’m keeping it real. So long as keeping it real doesn’t go wrong

Yo, man…point blank, shady is doing things that are not true to yourself. So to smile in people’s face and talk stuff behind their back…yeah, that’s shady. To have beef with someone, and then try to associate with them for some type of benefit…yeah, that is shady. But really, only you can tell what is shady for yourself. Shady refers to things that are not genuine. So to me, if you hate on me but never fake like you like me, that is not shady. You never made it seem like you got down with me. But to fake like you are my people and then stab me in my back, that is shady.
Killa, I know that you are not shady because of how you operate. I probably get the shady title at times also, but on the real, I don’t fake. If I don’t like you, I don’t have to punch you in your face or scream on you…I just don’t get down with you. And that is just being true to myself. As long as you are true to yourself, how can you be shady? You are just being real…

I’m a brutally honest asshole, the complete opposite of shady. You aways know where you stand with me, which is more than I can say for 95% of the people I know. The other 5% are those I consider friends. Most people don’t know the first thing about being honest in their dealings with others, and it saddens me, but it’s the way of the world, and as much as I’d like to change it, I can’t.
I’ll have to disagree with Maverick on one point: Sometime you just have to put a nigga down to make an example out of them. Sometimes a nigga needs his ass BEAT for mere satisfaction. I hope one day I can get over that sentiment, but I doubt I ever will.
