Okay….first question is more heart warming/enjoyable to deal with….here it is:
so hypothetically speaking (you already know where this is going)….let’s say you have a “more than a” friend that you talk to fairly regularly….and he/she slips up and tells you something that you kind of suspect, but didn’t really mean to say it….how do you reassure them that it’s aight…and that maybe the thought had occured to you as well?
The second question is a little “touchy” for lack of a better word….(also long as hell….you’ve been warned)
I have a friend…we’ll call her Miss K….Miss K used to pick me up for class for the first half of last school year….me and Miss K go back awhile….I consider Miss K a good friend….we had an off and on habit of going to eat lunch (usually paid for by me mind you!)
anyway Miss K’s birthday was last week….no mind you, I have a TERRIBLE problem remembering birthdays….well I remembered hers….I yelled across the street to her, “Happy Birthday Miss K!!!”….later I hugged her and she told me how surprised she was that I remembered….little did she know that a birthday party was being planned for her the next day (why they didn’t have it that day bewilders me….as I wouldn’t be in the mess I am in now if they had)
….anyway I digress….the next day comes and she calls me and I ask her how her birthday went after class…..time for her dinner/party comes and I am feeling kinda tired/under the weather and in general don’t feel like going out….so I call our mutual friend we’ll just call Miss T and tell her I don’t feel like going cuz I’m cleaning up and other stuff and haven’t really gotten dressed for the day and whatever but to give my regards….well Miss T, I guess tells Miss K this verbatim….
So anyway to put an end to a long story the other night I see Miss K at another function and she is really funky with me because I wasn’t at her dinner but I could show up at the other function (to which I got a formal, i.e. card, invite) but, “it’s all good”….and she hasn’t spoken to me since….
Am I that much in the wrong?(I am willing to take some blame for being a lazy nigro and not leaving my home at all that day)
At any rate I had a pretty good day today….passed yet another quiz in Biochem….made progress on my little project on paraphilias (deviant sexual behavior that affects daily life such as voyeurism, sadomasachism, pedophilia, etc)….attended an ethics conference and a conference on elderly sexuality (alot of sex talk today!)….good things happen when you actually attend class….

if yall was that close…. maybe you should have at least showed your face for a hot second and slipped out about 15 min after everything got underway.

if friends cant understand that you didnt feel like leavin the house…
fuck it. they’ll get over it. and if they dont… you dont need petty people like that in your life anyway… because they will be on some bullshit when a sitation comes about when it really matters.
me? i would have fabricated some well thought out lie to give to miss T for my reasons for not attending….. just in case she opened her gotdamn mouth. Then, sat my lazy black ass at home and called it , retarded shit well avoided.

I hate to say it, but it was kind of “wrong” of you not to at least show up at the party and wish her (yet again) another Happy Birthday. If she was just anybody it probably wouldn’t have been a big deal, but since ya’ll go way back it was kind of your “duty” to go…at LEAST from a woman’s point of view. But don’t worry about it, she’ll get over it soon enough.
